grom studio
v1.1.0
01 Introduction

We build companies that can return capital.

Grom Studio is a new-generation venture studio building companies from idea to MVP, revenue, spin-out11 / spin-outwhen traction appears,
project peels off into
a separate company
with its own team.
, and fundraising.

We focus on speed, clear economics, small teams, AI-assisted execution22 / AI-assistedfour people, right stack,
and suddenly code, ops,
research, design all move
5x to 10x faster.
, and transparent investor alignment. We do not chase unicorns33 / no unicornsnot lottery tickets.
clear unit economics,
real downside control,
predictable returns.
. We build predictable businesses that return their Xs, with the option to stop growth and run profitably any day of the week: an off-switch44 / off-switchgrowth can stop
and business still keeps
earning. that matters.
.

A closed-format studio. We generate the ideas, we run the projects, we carry the risk. Investors come in on terms that actually make sense for both sides.

v1.0.2
02 Our position

The venture market is changing. Venture studios should change with it.

We believe the old venture studio format no longer makes sense. Many studios became too slow, too expensive, too dependent on unicorn math, and too afraid to kill projects early.

We wrote about this in The 10 Deadly Sins of Venture Studios - a public essay on why the old model is breaking and what should replace it.

Grom Studio is our answer: a smaller, faster, more transparent venture studio built around AI tools, lean teams, clear economics, and disciplined company creation. What used to require twenty people can now be done by four.

v0.4.1
03 Current projects

What we are building right now.

A snapshot of what is moving through the studio. We keep three to five in parallel — enough variety to spread risk, small enough that nothing rots in the queue. Stages move; this list updates when reality changes, not on a schedule.

Fintech / data-ops

AI-assisted data-ops layer for small finance teams. First paying customers; revenue still in pilot range.

Tilt

Consumer / habit-coaching

Short-form, skill-based micro-coaching app. Strong organic loop; monetization currently in test.

Early traction

Mira

Kids / voice-first

Voice-first reading companion for children. Closed beta; unit economics not yet readable.

Async family-logistics tool. Peeled off Q1 2026 with its own team after clear PMF signals; now a standalone company.

Financial tooling for gig-workers. Graduated in 2025, now operating independently with its own investor base.

Helix

Dev tooling / observability

Shut down · 2024
v1.0.0
04 For investors

Open model. Boring economics. Real off-switch.

If you invest in venture studios — start with our whitepaper. Our share split, fee structure and exit mechanics are written down, not negotiated case by case. If the model fits, talking to us is the easy part.

v0.6.3
05 Writing

Thinking out loud.

Long-form essays and short notes from the studio — on what we are building, what we are reading, what we got wrong. Cadence is irregular on purpose: we write when there is something to say, not every Tuesday.
